If you are a professional currently working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLTs) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLTs), you have probably realized at some point that having a Bachelor's degree is essential if you want to advance your career, get a promotion and get better pay. That is why the University of Cincinnati has developed the Bachelor of Science degree program in Clinical Laboratory Science; a degree program that you can complete in its entirety without ever needing to attend classes on campus.

By successfully completing only 10 credits per quarter, students of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program will be able to complete the degree in just two years. Once you graduate from this program you will be equipped with the comprehensive skills and knowledge that you will need to tackle either the American Society for Clinical Pathology's (ASCP) Board of registry (BOR) exam for he MT credential or the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) exam from the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) for the CLS credential.

The Bachelor of Science program in Clinical Laboratory Science Degree program allows you to access course information at your convenience whenever you are ready to work on the material and from anywhere you have computer and internet access; however, the University of Cincinnati does have a deadline for applications and classes do start on preset dates for each quarter, so be sure to check their academic calendar for applicable deadlines and starting dates. Also, keep in

mind when applying that along with a resume, your transcripts, letter of intent, and letters of recommendation you will also need to submit proof of professional certifications. So be sure to stay on top of the required paperwork so that you do not miss any deadlines for your program.

The University of Cincinnati makes getting your degree quite affordable. Ohio residents pay a rate of only $262 per credit hour where as non Ohio residents will pay $272 per credit hour. And of course, both financial aid and student loans may be available to help you offset the cost. And the online program is set up to insure that you have access to the support that you will need via the program director, instructors, and small group of students that you will be working with.
